Living Legacy · Pōhakuokalā Views
Unit 10 — Living Legacy
The community’s dedicated native planting and restoration area. Unit 10 brings stewardship of the land into the heart of the project and is distinct from the nine residential homesites.
This is a restoration area, not a residential homesite.
The Kula way of life
Come for the views.
Stay for the everyday.
There is a reason people choose Kula long before they choose a house. It is the open sweep of the landscape, the changing light across the island, and the cooler Upcountry air that draws you outside. Here, the view becomes part of the daily routine—a quiet moment over coffee, lunch on the lānai, a pause at the end of the day as the coastline changes color.
Living Upcountry brings a different side of Maui into focus. Working farms, fresh produce, gardens and small local businesses give the region its character. Weekends can take you to a farmers market, through Makawao’s shops and cafés, or farther up the slopes of Haleakalā. Beach days remain part of island life, with a return home to the mountain at the end of the day.
Pōhakuokalā Views offers the chance to make that rhythm your own. Choose the homesite that speaks to you, then shape the spaces where your days will unfold.
Make the view part of home.
Think beyond a picture window. Imagine a lānai for long dinners, a kitchen oriented toward the horizon, or a quiet corner where you can watch the weather move across the island. The right site gives those ideas a starting point.
Fresh food. Cooler evenings.
Kula’s agricultural roots are part of everyday Upcountry life. Farm stands, locally grown produce and the region’s farmers markets offer a connection to what grows here. Cooler evenings invite a light layer and a little more time outdoors.
A mountain home. An island life.
Enjoy the rural character of Kula while staying connected to the wider island. Pukalani and Kulamalu provide everyday shopping and services, Makawao adds its own creative energy, and Haleakalā shapes the landscape above.

Room for your next chapter
Upcountry living.
An extraordinary outlook.
Pōhakuokalā Views brings nine residential homesites together in a gated Kula setting. Each offers a different perspective on the landscape, with the freedom to explore a home that fits the site and your life.
The community is intentionally small: nine residential homesites and one dedicated native planting and restoration area. The landscape remains central to the experience, with each unit offering its own orientation and relationship to the land.
Choose between Main House homesites and the smaller-footprint opportunities at Units 1 and 6. A private tour is the best way to compare the views, light, access and feel of each site—and begin imagining the home you could create.
Shared County water and a private fire-protection system form part of the project infrastructure. Ask Heleena for the current installation status, unit-specific allocations and the documents that explain how the community works.

The community plan.

A home shaped around you
Start with the land.
Build toward your life.
Buying a homesite is a different decision from buying a finished house. Instead of adapting to someone else’s layout, you can consider how you want to live: where the morning light enters, how the kitchen connects to the lānai, how much home you want to maintain, and which outlook you want to enjoy every day.
At Pōhakuokalā Views, the first step is choosing the right unit. Main House homesites and the 1,200-square-foot homesites offer different starting points. Units 1 and 6 have plans submitted for permit review, giving buyers an existing design to evaluate alongside their own priorities. Unit 1 is currently pending sale.
Heleena’s experience with Maui land and CPR properties can help you frame the right questions early. Request the governing documents, review unit-specific development rights and utility allocations, and bring your architect or builder into the conversation before finalizing a design.

What is offered at Pōhakuokalā Views?
The project is a gated 10-unit Condominium Property Regime, or CPR, with nine residential homesites and one native restoration area. The residential units have different designations, acreages and development rights. Use the individual unit buttons above to compare the options, then request the current documents for the unit you are considering.
Which homesites are available, and what do they cost?
Unit 3 is offered at $699,000, Unit 4 at $649,000, and Unit 6 at $399,000. Unit 2 is shown at $629,000; please inquire for current availability. Unit 1 is pending sale. The community price sheet designates Unit 5 reserved and Units 7–9 developer retained. Prices and availability may change; contact Heleena for the latest information.
What is the difference between the homesite designations?
Units 1 and 6 are designated for dwellings up to 1,200 square feet. The other residential units are identified as Main House homesites on the community price sheet. Do not assume that a unit can accommodate additional dwellings or a particular design; review the current CPR documents, water allocation and applicable approvals with your architect or builder.
Are building plans available?
Plans for Units 1 and 6 have been submitted for permit review. Unit 6 includes plans for a 1,200-square-foot, two-story residence and a completed septic design. Request the plans and current permit status to evaluate whether they fit your needs. Submitted plans are subject to review and do not guarantee permit issuance.
What should I know about water and infrastructure?
County water is provided through a shared system, with unit-specific allocations. The project also includes a private fire-protection system. Construction, utility and approval status should be reviewed for your intended timeline. Ask for the current information before planning construction or making commitments to a builder.
How do I arrange a tour or request the CPR documents?
Request a private tour, call 808-280-1951, or email Heleena@mauilifestyles.com. Let Heleena know which units interest you so she can help you compare the options and provide the relevant plans, listing information and governing documents.
